Custom Fine Furniture
My passion for exotic hardwoods and local domestic woods has not wavered. Currently I have a been building fine furniture as an alternative creative outlet. Specifically I am filling a niche in custom side-tables and hallway/entry tables. I love these projects that keep me in my studio and make me want to jump out of bed in the mornings to pick up where I left off. Sourcing and pairing contrasting but compatible wood is part of the artistic expression in creating visually interesting, and appealing heirloom furniture. Throughout the piece my minimalist approach allow for clean lines and open space to beautifully illustrate "less is more," achieving better design through simplicity. An artistic sensibility coupled with traditional craftsmanship and precision joinery, placing a 'Leroy Douglas' piece in a class of its own.
