Jatoba Side Table
Salvaged a rough cut 9' plank of 5/4 California Black Walnut—cupped, warped, split and sun bleached grey, but I could see there was a table top hidden in there nonetheless, including all the natural character that I am looking for in a finished piece. Deciding to include a drawer—much easier to do before all the parts & pieces of the table are joined and glued together. The Rosewood pull is a very close match to the South American Jatoba—but just enough difference to compliment the piece.
